Listing Video Guidelines

Introduction

Destineyes allows users to submit videos to enhance their listings on our platform. Adding a video introduction significantly increases the chances of connecting with potential clients, with research showing a 25% higher likelihood of engagement when a video is present. This policy outlines the guidelines for submitting and optimizing your videos.

Video Content Requirements

Mandatory Inclusions:

1. Advisor Name: Clearly state your name.
2. Specialty: Specify your area of expertise.
3. Experience: Mention your years on Destineyes or overall experience.
4. Reading Style: Describe your style of reading.

Prohibited Content:

1. References to other platforms, including social media.
2. Background music or other audio.
3. Extreme filters and special effects.

Video File Type and Size Requirements

• Format: MP4
• Length: 20 to 60 seconds
• Orientation: Portrait
• Recommended File Size: 700 megabytes (MB)

If your video is larger, consider reducing the video quality to facilitate upload, especially if you have a poor internet connection. Videos will be transcoded to optimize their size and appearance on Destineyes.

Video Tips

1. No Call-to-Action Elements: Avoid elements that encourage clicking, such as “learn more” buttons. Clicking on the video will play or restart it with sound enabled.
2. Lighting: Use natural light, either outdoors or in a well-lit room, to illuminate both you and your background.
3. Background: Choose an uncluttered but visually appealing background, either outdoors or in a well-decorated room. If indoors, center yourself against a wall.
4. Audio: Ensure minimal background noise and avoid windy outdoor conditions.
5. Shooting: Use a tripod or stable surface to avoid shaky footage.
6. Framing: Use portrait orientation and avoid leaving dead space on the screen. Chest-up framing is ideal.
7. Duration: Aim for a relaxed yet concise video, keeping it within the 20-60 second range. Prepare talking points ahead of time for a natural delivery.
8. Be Authentic: Look directly into the camera, smile, and speak from the heart as if talking to a customer.

If you need inspiration, here’s a sample script:

“Hi, I’m [your display name as it appears to customers]. I’ve been a(n) [Advisor title, e.g., Astrologer, Love Psychic, etc.] at Destineyes for [years at Destineyes] specializing in [types of readings/common questions you are skilled at answering/Destineyes sitemap categories in your area of expertise]. I am [style of reading/guidance; e.g., direct vs. gentle], so you will come away from our session feeling/with [the unique benefit you offer to your customers]. [Anything else you want your customers to know about you]. I look forward to connecting with you!”

How to Add Videos to Your Listings

To add a video to your listing:

1. Visit the listings page.
2. Select “edit” next to your listing.
3. Below your listing photo, you’ll see an option to add your video.
4. You can either pre-record and upload a video or record your video directly from this page.

An advisor can upload up to four unique videos to their account. If you have more than four unique listings, you can reuse videos for those listings.

Please note that all videos must be reviewed and approved by Destineyes before they are displayed on your listing.
